Raxó from a fishing village to a tourist center
19/09/2022Raxó , our town, is a little paradise in the Rías Baixas, it is located between Sanxenxo and Combarro on the north shore of the Ría de Pontevedra.
It retains the maritime and agricultural charm of yesteryear and has been transformed into a small tourist center, which does not take away an iota of its appeal for visitors seeking a bit of the calm that its illustrious neighboring towns lack, which is the fault of the three beaches in its urban environment: Xiorto, Raxó and Sinás for their crystal clear waters and quality of the sand, with a bit of luck you will be able to spot the dolphins that enter the estuary.
Its beaches are surrounded by lively beach bars and terraces that offer, in addition to a good tapa, excellent views of the other shore of the estuary. It is a small fishing village that sometimes goes unnoticed among the many charms of the estuary, in it you can find the attractions of the Galician coastal towns that in other places it is difficult to appreciate. Here you will eat the best fish and seafood from the Pontevedra estuary and you will be able to relax on its beach without fear of crowds, at its top is the A Granxa viewpoint, one of the best in the area with incredible views over the estuary.
